HELP! Throwing code 67!
Well, I was driving home from work tonight and suddenly my CEL comes on. The car is still running fine. I get home and check the code... 67, which is Catalyst low efficiency. I have a 97 Civic EX with a hi-flow cat and full rsr exmag exhaust. What could cause this CEL to come on, and what does it mean? Thanks.

That's either the cat is clogged up and can't filter the gases coming out cleanly enough for the second O2 sensor to verify it. Or you are running on a rich condition.

what do you mean by high flow cat?if you mean Ebay high flow cat-which is just a resonator-that's most likely your problem.
if you're actually running a cat with a honeycomb in it,pull it off and verify that it's still in good shape.
does the car run good otherwise?
have you tried to reset the ECU and see if the code comes back?

As asked, have you reset the ECU yet? That particular code will not come back on immediately. It will take 2 or 3 warm-up/cool-down periods of the ECU seeing this failure (on a consecutive basis).
What hi-flow cat are you running?
In a nutshell: The catalytic converter uses O2 to do its job. This means that the 2nd O2 sensor should show a 'rich' condition -or- a steady high voltage. If the cat was not using O2, then can you see how its output signal might resemble, or track, the 1st O2? Essentially, both O2 sensors are seeing the same a/f mix and when that happens, you get the code.
People who run test pipes typically encounter this so they run an O2 simulator to get around the problem.

Well, unfortunately, I bought some crap *** ebay hi-flow cat, actually planning on a carsound here soon. Secondly, I reset the ecu and I haven't gotten the code since. I have put on around 100 miles since I reset it. It's running really rich still though.
I'm actually thinking about putting my stock cat back on until I buy my carsound.
