HELP!!!!! somethings wrong with friends engine.
okay here is the deal. my friend has a 96 gsr , he blew his headgasket, so i changed it for him followed the troque specs and all, when i started the car, water got into his oil i dont know how. and the rpm jump to 6k rpm and stay there.so i drained the oil and there was water or coolant in his oil for sure. i replaced the oil, still the same thing happens? now what seems to be the problem? warped block?or warped head? i tried using another head that wasnt warp and it still is the same, any help will do. also i might have switch distrib. by accident<garage is a messed at times since i share with other ppl> with mine i have an obd1 dizzy, and he has obd2 dizzy, could that explain the 6k jump when started? how can i tell between obd1 and obd2 dizzy apart? thanks

what crawled up your ***. anyways i was too lazy to spell out distributor, so i use dizzy for short. okay update the distributor<for biggdogg sake> wasnt switch. i guess the head gasket could be upside down how you till if its right side up ? and can anyone explain the 6k rpm start up?

always make sure to use copper gasket sealer!!..block could be warped...take a straight edge on the top of the block and point a flashlight from the other side of it towards you..you shouldn't see anylight from where the stright edge meets the block...may have to get decked
