Re: over heating engine
sounds to me like you have a bad thermostat. It sounds like the thermostat isnt opening. Does the car smoke at all? Check your dipstick for signs of water as well, or foam in your oil. This would be signs of a head gasket which i dont think is your problem.
The thermostat is your best bet.

Re: over heating engine
maybe cracked heat? check the oil and see if its milky or just regular oil. if the oil is clean then take out your thermostat and if that dont work im guessing a bad water pump.

Re: over heating engine
ok the oil aint milky! yes im glad for that. but i have three or four hoses that im not sure where they go to.
1) is the hole on the black pcv box behind the block w/the water pump.
2) the Nozzle between the head and distributor, its pointing upwards.
3) the throttle body nozzle next to the fuel thing. its like a vaccum.
4) the small hose on the round fuel circular tube. attached to the body.
please help i have no pics.

Re: over heating engine
well ...... its either a bad thermostate or a cracked head.... change your thermostate and see if that doesnt fix it..... and if its your water pump you should have water leaking out of the timing cover..... or a weird noise coming from the timing cover..... one way to see if the head is cracked just try and run a compression test ..... it may help and it may not .... if the head is cracked then it will just depend on where it is cracked if you run the compresson test.... also what does the coolant look like.... if the head is cracked it could be cracked between and oil galley and a water jacket and if so you should have high coolant system pressure .... due to oil entering the coolant system..... cause oil pressure is higher then coolant system pressure which its around 16psi,,,, and oil pressure is around 40psi and higher....dipending on app.....if all of those are fine then its probably just your thermostate....good luck bro.....

Re: over heating engine
I wouldnt have done it without a thermostat but hey..... Well I would recommend a compression check. I think with the white smoke and the overheating its prolly a cracked head. If the new headgasket seated and isnt damaged then that's prolly gonna be your best bet.

Re: over heating engine
im guessing your missing the coolant hose that routes coolant thru your head somehow.
