VERY CAREFULLY while the engine is running spray around with some carb cleaner/quick start. If you have a leak it should get sucked in and change idle.
Keep in mind that if you light your car on fire I'm not responsible... I would have a fire extinguisher close by.
Look at this for more info.

Hmmmmm... How long has the car been doing this?
Could it be ignition timing? Not sure on that someone confirm that
Maybe a misfire, or a lean/rich condition?
Some of those vacuum leaks are hard to find though, I wouldn't completely rule it out.

There was a vacuum leak on my civic, i spent hours looking for it. I just took it to my friends shop and one of the guys there had a weird stethoscope thingy and found the leak in a few minutes. It was next to the throttle body. My car was idling funny as well. BTW i have a 98 civic. just my two cents.

Check your compression if that's good do a major tuneup. I would suspect a vacuum leak if any work had recently been done to the intake.
