Re: Help !!!! distributer/electrical issue ...
'99 - '00 Civics (Except Si/HX) use a single small plug for the distributor. All '96 - '98 Civics (and '99 - '00 Si/HX) use a single large plug for the distributor.

Thats what it sounds like, or you have a '99 - '00 Si or HX harness. If its an Si harness you can use it, if its a HX harness or a '96 - '98 harness you need a '99 - '00 harness or you will not have a working tach and speedometer.

Re: Help !!!! distributer/electrical issue ...
Using a distributor that matches the harness wont fix your lack of working gauges. Unless like I said it happens to be a '99 - '00 Si. Take a look at your ECU plugs, if you've got an extra plug you've got the wrong harness.

Re: Help !!!! distributer/electrical issue ...
i have an extra plug but not from the engine harness i belive it's from the dash harness ... the engine harness has 3 plugs and all plug into the ecu ... am going to take a pic of the plugs tomorow so you could see it ... of the ecu and dizzy/engine harn plug
as long as the car starts i have no problem i just need it to start for now then i gues i will have to change the harness ....
