Default Help with my smog results

I had my 1997 D16Y8 smogged a couple of days ago and passed the test, but something on the sheet caught my eye. For the 15 mph test, my HC. . . .

was 62.
max is 66
average is 9

For the 25 mph test, my HC. . . .

was 36
max is 49
average is 7

My readings seemed close to the maximum. What causes this? An old cat? Bad ignition timing? (Mine was way off during testing, but the guy didn't care.) I was boosted before, so I'm sure that put some wear on the cat. Thx.

look at the smog sheet if the co2 reading is not around 12-14% ur timing is off
also check the o2 reading if more than 1% ur cat is more than likely worn

Default Re: (tomtomloc)

From what you said, it seems like it was due to my ignition timing. That was fixed yesterday, but I was just curiuos. I'm just glad I passed. Thx man.
