Help On My 95 Civic Coupe
I just recently bought a Green 95 Civic coupe 5 speed as a project car/Everyday driver because I don`t want to put alot miles on my s2000. I want to start putting some work into it in a month or two. Now let me say my plan is to do it up over 3 years. I want to sawp then motor out for a GSR and most linkely do a CTR Tranny or ITR tranny and probably turbo charge it. I was wondering if anyone on the fourm had this done already and if so if anyone could give me some insite on it or recomend something different. I am also looking for a place to purchase a 5 lug convserion and a good shop in upstate New York to do the all the work.
(I have done a search already but I haven`t found the answers I was looking for)
A few things to know
I am not trying to make a super fast drag racer I am just trying to have a nice car quick to drive around in thats has a nice system and more then 2 seats.
So far I have bought a bodykit, Nakamichi 12in subs with Amps and interior speakers...The car will be painted (NSX/S2000) Berlina Black
Also I was wondering it anyone could recomend some things to impore the handling a bit
Thanks-JayStyles

If you want a five lug swap try eastpark auto recycling. They are in Hyde Park NY and only have Acuras and Hondas. The phone number is 1-800-buy-used or http://www.eastparkauto.com
When you call them tell Bruce that the guys from Syracuse sent you he might hook you up a little a friend just spent $3k there we drove 4 hrs down there to pick up a full USDM GSR swap plus he threw in clusters and a few other goodies. They also had a Type r with a JDM front they were stripping down on the lift, this was last wed so Im sure they have the parts still.

cnyej1-Thanks for all the info man thats really helps I just went on thier site and I must say it looks like a good place for most of the stuff I am looking for....
Zoom92-Why the LS tranny? I though the ITR/CTR were geared better and could hold more power. Please explain..
Can anyone recomend a turbokit that will fit in the car with the Engine Swap?

Okay so I am guessing the GSR pulls threw lower gears nicer but LS would be for more topend? But what is the difference between how much power they can hold...Because I know after a while I will want more power from the car its just how I am...

They'll both take about the same power.... you could do a ITR/B16 tranny and put in a LS 5th gear. That gives you the short gears 1-4 and the 5th is good for gas saving on the highway. Yeah East Park is a great place, they have tons of stuff and are always ready to make deals.

Well, what I meant on topend for the GSR is mostly cruising. Sitting at 70mph on the highway has you at about 4000 rpm which can be kind of annoying, but its not bad. Well worth it IMO if you dont plan on constantly driving like 100 miles per hour on the highway.

jlacoy82-I see what you mean now...I think I am going to do what cnyej1 said and go GSR with LS 5th gear-Thats sounds good because honestly I have a lead foot..
cnyej1-Yeah they do look good...I will be going down there this weekend and seeing what I can pick up for a nice price
