Default help me with this squealing noise

i have been away at college for a month since ive driven my car and its now real cold compared to how it was before

when i drive my car now i get this ratteling noise which turns into a continuous low pitched hum kind of like metal scraping or squealing its hard to describe.

it sounds like its coming from under the back seats and its pretty loud outside.

it only happens when im driving. when it idles theres no noise at all and when i slow down like for a stop sign it gets alot worse and sounds almost like a hum with a honking every now and then

wierd i know but any help would be appreciated.

Hum and honking? Holy **** man!

Check all your heat shielding, maybe your dragging something. Could be something loose in the muffler also.

Maybe the cat heat shield? If you still think it's your fuel pump, try this: When the car is off, turn the key to the last point before it starts the car, you will then hear the fuel pump kick in.

Well the fuel pump wouldnt be making a sound from the back of the car. Could be your fuel delivery system.

that's the fuel pump access cover...maybe a wheel bearing is bad?worn out rear brake pads/shoes?does it do it when you're moving only?

Could be a wheel bearing, jack up the car and move the wheel around like shake it. If its got play in it, like it moves back and forth, its probably a wheel bearing.
