Default Walbro noise???

so i am getting out of the car today and i am hearing this weird noise.
it sounds like a gear or tiny motor spining real fast(hope you know what i mean)
anyway after hearing around i can hear it more behind mt read driver side wheel. sounds like it is comming fro the fuel tank.
my thing is does it always sound that loud. or is it taht i haven't ever noticed it before? i hear it over everything in the car even over the walbro whistle inside the car.

would it be that it was a nice day and i was doing some rather "spirited" driving.

Those walbro's are known to make alot of noise back their. My friend has an intank walbro on his type R and it also makes noise. Nothing to worry about, atleast you know the fuel pump is working hard

Word. Walbro's almost always make quite a bit of noise. Mine was so loud that I decided to spend $235.00 for a OEM Bosch Feul pump for a 911 Turbo, it's supposed to be almost silent plus it flows almost twice the volume of the Walbro, but it's not silent... close enough though.

PS. it was a friggin bitch getting the Bosch pump in the tank, it's massive!!!

I see you live in Pennsylvania. I think it has to do with the increase in temperature we've had the past couple of days. Mine was especially loud today, even with a full tank of gas. 70+ degree temps has everything to do with it. I could hear it with the windows down reflecting off of other cars at idle, and when I got out of the car while the turbo timer was counting down. It's funny, it almost sounds like someone is using a leaf blower in the distance. It fooled me a couple of times!

my walbro 255 high-pressure intank is LOUD. if you walk to the back of my car, you can hear it hissing and buzzing. sounds like SC whine. too bad my turbo whistle covers it up.

Ok I'm worried because my pump doesn't whine like that......

Though if I get on my car and slow down, I do hear a whine, like something is winding down, but I could never tell where it was coming from.

Mine did not use to be loud at all, only a little whine from the back seats, but recently it has been getting louder. Must have finally broken-it-in

My high pressuure 255lph Walbro isn't audible. Perhaps the Prelude is more insulated? Anyone else with a Prelude with it installed?

my 255 hp has a constant hum/whine to it. i dont really notice it when i'm driving with the speakers turned up. but if i'm sitting there thinking about it or with the music off, i occassionaly notice it. for the most part i've gotten used to it and its reassuring to know that its working.
