Help me figure out this rattle noise coming from the engine
i have a 97 civic EX 5 spd, runs and drives normal but at idle i get this loud vibrating noise coming from the front, but once i hit the gas a little the noise goes away and once i let off it it comes back. my G/F has a 00 EX auto and it does the exact same thing. could it be a bad motor or tranny mount? im stumped. thanks for any help

hmm possibly your heat shield around the header is a little loose? bump for answers

yea its not that kinda rattle its more like a loud vibrating i should say

what are you RPM's at when you are at idle and this vibrating happens?? is it a stock car with stock mounts?

idle is where it should be at 750, and yes stock motor and stock mounts, like i said it does it on my girls car to

yea i have a K&N filter right on the TB on my car and nothing on my g/f's car
