Re: help jdm zc head onto cx block (batch)
if CX bottom = d15b7 bottom = it needs D16Z6 Timing Belt Kit (106 teeth)=tensioner pulley as well
if CX bottom = VX = it needs VX Timing Belt Kit ( 103 teeth) = tensioner pulley as well

Re: help jdm zc head onto cx block (batch)
the short answer is that the D-series twin cam head, the ZC, does NOT go onto d15 and d16 SOHC designed blocks. The long answer is that it IS doable. Search h-t. Someone actually did it, and with a turbo. The engine looked bad, and he blew I think 3 or more head gaskets, and it DID require some custom work. It was not close to OEM reliable, so if you have a shop with a master mechanic and a good engine builder, you CAN do it. If not, consider it like a B-to-D head swap, they just dont fit.
Look into the JDM D15B head with the 3 stage VTEC setup, it'll be better and will bolt on, rather than the BIG hassle of all that **** just to end up with a engine that is still not as good as a stock B18.
