Default Help Installing 99-00 Civic JDM RAYBRIG Foglights

This is the REAL JDM Raybrig Foglight kit. Other kits come with different wiring. However, I think the OEM USDM kit is the same.

Problem: Fog Lights wont turn on.

Checklist:
Fog lights and foglight wiring harness are working.
There is continuity from the engine bay factory connector to the other connector underneath the fuse box.

So we can rule out the 2 that I stated above.

My concern is:
What slots do i put the 2 brown connectors in?

The slots are as follow: beginning from the far left
1)+B, 2)Dash Lights, 3)accessory, 4)empty slot, 5)IG2

1st try:white wire on the #1 slot, and put the red/black wire on the #2 slot.
2nd & 3rd try: moved only the red/black wire to number 3 and when that didnt work tried it at #5. Still failed.
4th try: put the red/black on #1 slot and white on #3 slot. Now the switch didnt even light up. Still the foglights never turned on.

I know the relay is working because I can hear it click.

What could I be doing wrong?

For my foglights, I plugged the brown connector into the second one from the right I believe. If not, it's the second from the left. But mine wasn't from RayBrig and I only had one brown connector. Check your grounds maybe, should be one under the dash and one in the engine bay. Where are you taking power from?

On many dealer installed foglight kits the actual headlights or parking lights had to be on in order for the foglights to work.

Not sure if you've checked this yet..

All USDM OEM fog light kits require that the low-beam headlights (not the parking lights, and not the high-beams) be turned on to work.

the plug with the white wire should go to spot A or B, the plug with the red/black wire can go in either C, D, or E depending on if you want it on with headlights or independent of headlights

I have mine in E to work whenever the car is started

ill recheck my grounds. Im taking power from the #1 slot which is +B. Im assuming its the constant wire going to the positive battery terminal.

The plugs aren't labeled? My EG6 yellow foglight harness had the plugs labeled.

Thanks, but that layout isnt the same as mine. Same concept though.

I thought my 1st try was correct. I had my white wire w/ the inline fuse going to the +B and the red/black wire connected to slot 2 so that my foglights would come on when i turned on the dash lights.

Red/Black to Slot 2
White to Slot 3 or 4

That way, you won't drain your battery if you leave the fogs on after you turn off your car.

OMG.......It works!!! Thanks man for your help and good looking out!!

Also thanks for everyone else who was willing to help me out.

I have some questions........are the foglights suppose to be able to turn on with just only the parking lights........or the foglights can be only turned on when the parking lights and low beam lights are on?

I say this because I hear there is a foglight trick which I am not familiar with where foglights can be on with just only the parking lights and without the lowbeams.

Any advice?

I did the same thing.....or, battery power, ground, accessory power (corner lights).

Anytime you flick on your parking lights, city lights, etc. your fogs will come on.

if you put the power plug from the switch in the ACC spot the fogs should come on when the car is running, at least mine to
here's a newer pic of how mine are wired, they come on with the car running, the city lights don't have to be on, and stay on even with brights on
