Help with wiring! 92-95 Civic fog lights - DEPOs
I searched some of the other threads about fog lights but I haven't found the answer. I just bought some for my 93 Civic 4 door and I'm having some trouble with the wiring. On one end of the fog light wiring harness there's a red wire w/ fuse that looks like it connects to the battery. The other end of the harness has a red male connector. Is this the wire that I run into the cabin and connect to the female (red/black) wire on the switch harness? If so, I had it connected that way but every time I tried to turn on the fogs it would blow the fuse in the fuse box. I had the switch harness connected to the #2 jack in the fuse box. I'm I missing something here?

-pluged in relay, lights
-red wire into cabin, to switch harness
-switch harness to red wire in cabin and switch
but i dont remember where i plugged the harness into the fusebox. should be the one thats hot with ur parking lights...

Re: (dantastic)
Thanks for the reply.
I had the switch harness connected to the #2 outlet on the fusebox (red arrow). When I tried to turn on the lights I kept blowing the "Parking lights, Inst. Lights, Lic.Plate Light" fuse (yellow circle). I even tried a different outlet other than the #2 and I blew that fuse also. Maybe I don't have a good ground.

Re: (Timmay)
Damn, I must have a short somewhere. I guess my only option is to open up the harness and trace back each wire.
Thanks guys...

aftermarket fogs come with weaker wire that is more prone to becoming frail and weak. Grounding wires are very important as I learned. If not in contact with an appropriate grounding source the lights will go on and off repeatedly. Good luck with the install.
