When you drain your oil is the engine warm? Is the oil cap open so the engine has room to breathe and allow the oil to flow?
More than likely you're not draining properly. If not, my mistake...

It's appears he drive a Del Sol S? Is that correct. Then 3.5 would sound resonable for a SOHC.

3.5, and then set it down and let it run for a bit....check the level and add what is needed cause there is always some that is left inside the motor after it is drained.
Its better to have not enough and add more than to have too much!

well it's a b18c1 swap in a del sol s. thanks for the info. maybe i'll go pour another half quart in.
