I'm confused...are you still accelerating? You said the VTEC isn't kicking in, but is the car still speeding up?

so yeah...vtec kicks but my tach drops and cuts off like redline like a second later... but this is only when using a stock OBD1 ecu with a jumper harness. But when i use my stock b16 ecu for obd2 it runs fine and dandy

Are you using a obd 1 or obd 2 distributor?

I thought the dizzy was supposed to be the saem OBD as the ECU.

you can rewire OBD1 and OBD2 dizzy to work properly - make sure you rewired it!

Well I would assume that there is your problem. you are trying to use a obd2 distributer with a obd1 ecu. You can narrow that down by syaing that with the obd 2 ecu plugged in it works fine and with the jumper harness and the obd1 ecu it doesn't work. Hope we helped.

obd2 distributor runs fine with an obd1 ecu.

If he changed any wiring at the distirbutor and messed something up, it would run shitty with either ecu.

Sounds like a problem with the jumper harness or the obd1 ecu.
