Help with front upper grill of 96 Civic..how to remove?!
How do you get the front upper grill circled here in yellow:
out, to be empty like this one?:
Is there a way besides cutting? When i took my front bumper apart, it seems that you need that black grill piece to hold on the colored piece that surrounds it, but some ppl have gotten rid of the plastic black grill in the middle..howwwww?

yea u can buy it like that true...but if u take it apart and cut off all the black plastic middle parts where the H eblem goes and leave the surrounding areas with the screw holes behing the outter painted part...wouldnt it look the same? (minus mesh grill)

Re: (DFW)
well i see that u pretty much have to dremel the plastic part out but leave the behind parts that screw onto the back of the colored front part...and then bascially cut the mesh grille for the middle in place of where the plastic used to be...guess the only somewhat hard part is the dremel eh?
i guess i got my answer by finding that DIY post...thanks guys!

Re: (GutS96EJ)
do they mean a dremel with a saw attachment? or some other attachment? i have a rotary tool but i dont see any attachments anywhere hmm
excuse my inexperience with a dremel, but i dont get how a saw attachment is used on a rotary tool, which spins around in a circle...im pretty sure a saw goes back and forth, not around in a circle, right? lol

No idea. I don't have a 96-98 Civic/grill so I can't really tell you.
Here's a better one, https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=857357 I'm guessing you just cut to see fit.
