A couple months ago my motor blew (D16Y8 ) in my 2000 Honda civic EX,
about 2 weeks ago I purchased a used D16ZC Vtec from Hmotorsonline. The sales associate gave me some info before I installed the motor in and told me to swap a few parts and here is a list what I've swapped and installed;

-Y8 Crank pulley and Crank sensor
-Y8 Intake Manifold since the IACV was positioned differently and the connectors were different
-Y8Throttle body with sensors
-Y8 Fuel injectors
-Y8 distributor, cap and rotor

Also installed new;

-Water pump and thermostat
-Spark plugs and wires
-Y8 Timing belt

Please let me know if im missing anything else that I would need to swap over.

Now, the issue

My idle would stay at a consistent 1700RPM Until I had some throttle, the Idle then drops to 1K then jumps up and down to about 2k. I have checked the IACV and even swapped with a buddy of mine and the problem still continues. But I did notice that once I spray the intake manifold flange(where the manifold bolts to head)with carb cleaner the engine starts to bog and die out..it seems as if there is a leak or the gasket isn't helping it seal correctly. I did however buy a new Y8 intake manifold gasket from Honda but it didn't help, would I need the ZC intake manifold gasket for it to seal correctly?
