Help with a B20z swap
Im swapping a b20z into a 92 civic hatch dx auto and I have a few questions.
How will the injectors on the b20 work with the obd1 harness? Can I just get something from rywire/phearable/xenocron etc.... because I looked and could only find obd2 to obd1 injector. Could I use a ls intake mani and obd1 injectors?
I have searched part numbers on the upper and lower alternator brackets and I think the upper one differs between a 99si and a 99crv but the bottom is the same.

You ARE aware that you will need a special/custom transmission mount correct?

Re: Help with a B20z swap
Yes Im aware of the auto to manual conversion. The B20 I got didnt come with a harness and the dizzy was cut before and after the plugs which I got another obdII dizzy and will order the conversions for that. I believe everything will plug up besides the dizzy, alternator, and injectors. THe b20 has a unique mani and fuel rail which prohibits me of just throwing some obdI injectors or the whole obdI fuel rail into the b20 mani. Ive tried a b16 mani and it doesnt bolt up. Im still questioning myself on the alternator, I believe I can open up my obdI alt and just plug the whole harness into the obdII alt.
thanks for all the help Oh and its a 92 civic which I stated in my first post.

Re: Help with a B20z swap
In all honesty, again, It would be easier/cheaper to just buy another B20Z factory OBD2 harness, and call it a day.
The conversion kits for the dizzy alone will cost more than a factory harness.
if you are 'hell bent' on doing it another way, I'd recommend buying a 94-95 B18B1 Intake manifold/rails/injectors (this WILL line-up) B16/B17/B18C series all have different bolt-patterns IIRC for the intake manifolds, the B18A/B and B20 families share the same patterns.

Re: Help with a B20z swap
Dude the conversion for the dizzy is $35 bucks. I feel you on the harness, in fact I think I have one at home, so I'll check on that. Getting the injectors right will be easy if all i need is the integra mani. WIll both the obdI and ObdII integra mani's work assuming I put the obdI injectors in the obdII mani? Every other sensor seems like it will work fine, theres just 3 things that I named earlier, shouldnt be too hard. I just ordered a 99 si starter, alt, and brackets. Im hoping they'll work. Seems like there would be more info on this swap but I've searched for the past mounth and cant find much.

Re: Help with a B20z swap
Either mani will work, but if you use an OBD2 one, I assume you will hit the injector clip problem again (Aka I do not know if OBD1 and OBD2 injectors differ in size as far as how they sit in the mani, but I STRONGLY suspect they will work the same.)

Re: Help with a B20z swap
I think its just that unique B20 manifold. I believe the regular b and d obdII injectors are all the same (besides the clips and orings) except for the b20. So with everything I told you which way do u think I should go?

Re: Help with a B20z swap
Well the other harness I had didnt work. The plugs didnt even match and it look liked they belonged on the drivers side.
