HELP! AIR CONDITIONING
I drive a 94 civic and one day the air conditioning wasn't blowing cold. So I took it to the shop figuring it just needed to be charged. When I got it back the mechanic said it was a switch, he didn't tell me which one. The cold air lasted about 4 weeks and now its warm again. Now this time when I'am at a stop light and i turn the air on the engine revs up and down til i turn the air off. The only thing i have done is check the % on the low pressure side and it read 65%, or borderline overpressureized. SO i stuck a screwdriver in the low side to bring it down to 45%, still revs up and down. Any suggestions would be great

Re: HELP! AIR CONDITIONING (lt1jerome)
Check the wires for the pressure switch, which are located to the right of the power steering pump. Mine rubbed against the PS belt, which caused intermittent grounding of the wire(s) on the pully causing my condenser fan to flicker on and off and my idle to fluctuate. This was a result of a shotty timing belt replacement done by the mechanic of the previous owner of my car.
By the way, I hope you used an A/C machine to relese the refrigerant...
releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere = BAD IDEA...
