Default HELP!!!

I have an EG6 and i recently swapped it with a B16A2 USDM 99-00 Civic Si Motor and after like a week it starting smoking and overheating!?!? Any thoughts why? It is currently laying in my garage as i don't want to drive it and harm it more. It is my only car and i spent most my money on the swap. My homie said the swap only had around 60k.

60k isn't necessarily an indicator that the motor is in good shape. I've seen great condition motors with 150k on them and horrible condition motors with 15k on them. As mentioned, the symptoms point toward the head gasket.

Was it running fine for the first week?
Do you have a history of the swapped engine?
Is your coolent level low? I would guess so if it's overheating. Sounds like there is a 99% chance it's your head gasket.
Get a clean drain pan and drain your oil. If there is water/coolent in your oil, then that's a definite sign.
A head gasket is not a major project. Just be sure to get the proper gasket and a Helms manual. Key is to make sure you re-torque the head bolts down in their proper sequence per the Helms manual.

I'm gonna have my homie check it out. If its the head gasket then i'll pik up a Spoon Headgasket from JHP for $150.

Yeah the first week it was running fine. All i know about the motor was that it had around 60-65k. Coolants fine. I'll drain my oil. I might as well get a complete tune up too. I'll have my friend install my head gasket. i'll get a spoon one.

What EGR valve. The only 6th gen civic with an EGR valve has a D16Y5

While this stuff can be the cause of an overheating issue he's blowing white smoke, meaning burning coolant, meaning blown headgasket.

Are you the coolant isn't low? It shouldn't overheat with full coolant and a bad head gastket fits the symptoms.
