Help 1996 itr B18c spec R misfire at cylinder 2
I got a 1996 honda civic ex with a 1996 itr b18 c spec r swap, So the story is back in November, one day after work i turn my car on and its starts to run and sound sluggish givein off a sound that sounds like a chopper. 0_o I stopped immediatly and popped the hood asap. After like 10 mins the sound went away and its starts to work run and sound normal Yesterday it started to do it again but this time is didnt go away. The weird thing about it, is that i drove it all day yesterday with no issues and as soon as i parked it and came back to turn it on the problem was back. Now the first thing i thought was to find out which cylinder was the one that was misfireing. i pulled out one plug wire at one time and noticed that it would effect the motor except for number 2. So this morning i replace the plug and the wire and it still gave me the same problem. I check for spark and yes i am gettin spark. I also checked the cap and rotor and the same thing no signs of excessive wear. Now i know i did not mess anything up in the motor becuase im not smokeing no wear, and it only happened after i turned off the car after driveing it all day. Any idea guys or any suggesteions that i should do??? thanks

If compression checks out, and so do all ignition parts and timing, the injector seems like the most probable cause.
Another thing could also be valves needing adjustment.

I would check your injector, one of the wires for my number 2 injector on my b20 what broken off so i got that fix and it ran fine.

I did a compression test of course and then used an injector tester and relized that it was getting no juice at injector 2. I went to the ecu and check the injector wires and it wasnt givein no juice niether from the ecu. Right after that i plugged in my sohc P2P ecu and the car started right up with no misfire.
