number one cylinder not igniting
why do you think the valves are not opening at the right time on that cylinder? camshafts usually dont wear on only one cylinder. usually if you have no spark in one cylinder, it will be something with either your spark plug having a cracked insulator, a bad plug wire (#1 cause), or a bad distributer cap. they are the only things that actually distribute spark to individual cylinders. if the rotor went bad it would take out all cylinders, same with the icm and coil. try replacing the wire plug and cap, and see if that helps. where did you check for spark, and how? depending on where you checked it, will determine what went bad.
changed wires, plugs, cap, resanator box.checked spark with the plug out still atached to the wire and grounded it.vales where adjusted by a buddy
