Default HELLLPPPPZ. with LCA castle nut!!!

SO IM DOIN my swap and im at the part where i have to take the castle nut off under the LCA then knock off the LCA so i can take out the axle. but my problem is that is wont come apart. i hit it with a mallet. i used a pickle fork. still no luck. then i used this tool that holds onto the LCA while you turn the screw thats on the tool that pushes the screw that the castle nut came off of up so the LCA should come apart but what happend insted was the bottom of the screw mushroomed a bit. and now i cant even put the castle nut back on wtf should i do? thanks!

Might be a long shot, put a little heat on it try to fic the mushroom and use a die for the correct threads on it. This is a tough one.

Do the craftsman ratchet trick. Hands down the easiest, safest, and best way to pop your lower ball joint loose. Pickle forks tear up your rubber boot, hammer deforms metal and/or messes up threads on the lower ball joint if you miss....

it would save you trouble in the future. take the control arm off and have a shop press in a new ball joint. i got my ball joint for like $15, and then had it pressed for $25.
