Heater problems???
Is there any way I can make my heater work better? When the car is warmed up and I have to heat all the way on, it doesnt blow out hard or hot at all. Is this a common problem or just me since I'm new to the Honda world?? Help me out people, its getting cold.

It could be your heater core, but don't throw any money at it just yet. Check the simpler things first. There's a valve that controls how much coolant is allowed to flow through the heater core. Your hot and cold dial controls this valve. Make sure the valve is opening all the way first. If it were stuck, you wouldn't get enough hot coolant into the heater core which=no heat.

Check that and Im guessing this is how its been since you bought the car, being new to the honda world and all, see if the hoses for the heater core are plugged up to your fire wall. I only say this cause when I got my hatch they weren't and took me about a day to figure what the hell was going on.

Lol, i had the same thing happen once. The guy i bought the car from had the heater core bypassed for some reason.

Re: (coquitlamEG)
how hot is your engine running? do you have a thermostat? is your water pump functioning normally? do you have air in your heater core? check the hoses that go to and from your engine to the firewall and into the heater core, the temperature should be the same on the radiator upper hose and the one from the engine IN to the heater core. if not, you have a problem somewhere. if it is, but the out hose from the core is cold, you may have a faulty valve or adjustment.
