Default heater.

So winter is coming up, and we all know we love to have the heater blasting in our civics.

My heater doesn't work, why is what I don't know, can anyone help me?

My friend has his car with no AC intact, but yet, his heater still works....

plz help.
i'm freeeeeeeeezzziiing!!!

Be more specific, please. What doesn't work? The fan? The air isn't getting hot enough? The temp control **** just spins?

On the firewall, there are inlet and outlet heater hoses that attach to the heater core under the dash. Flow of coolant into the heater core is controlled by a valve attached to the inlet hose. Check whether the valve fails to open when you shift the heater lever on the dash to full heat. If so, check whether the linkage from the lever to valve is disconnected or broken.

That's the cause. Unless it's your fan, in which case you'd notice the loud fan noise not happening T_T.

EDIT:
Lemme rephrase. It's not necessarily the cause, there could be a blockage in the heater core as well, but the heater core valve is more likely of a cause.
