Heat problem, quick question
When my cars all warmed up and i'm driving it around the temp is fine. However when its stopped then the temperature goes up, is this a radiator fan problem? or could it be something else, when i start driving again then the temp drops back to normal

depends.... well your driving air is passing through the raidator and cooling it down..
when you stop, and temp rises to a certain point the fan will kick in..
how long do you stop your car for?
And how much does it raisE?

Re: Heat problem, quick question (SmoGuy)
thanks for the replies. the temperture will slowly creep up and the longer i drive and stop the higher it will go (all the way to red) i'm gonna check the fan when its hot and idling, pretty sure its not comming on but i'll check 1 more time to be 100%
i dont really want to run a switch because i know its something that can be fixed realativly easy (thermostat?) but i might have to ATM, its okay if i drive it a short distance but anything like a 45 minute ride and then stopping in city traffic will make it go into the red

yeah check your fan...leave it idling and rev it up until it gets completely warmed up and then keep revving at about 3000 rpm...fan should come on

lol this is probably an obvious thing to do.. but just to make sure... did you check if you had coolant inside the radiator itself?.. it could be the fan.. it could also be the thermastat... good luck!... i have a cooling problem... i think its my head gasket...
