Default Heat Coating + Other Questions

I either read somewhere or a saw a picture of someone's turbo manifold with some sort of heat coating on it. Now, I realize that I'm going to get torn apart for even bringing the subject up, but shouldn't that make "cheap" manifolds stronger (i.e. SSAC)? Before you even begin to kill me with your words, I'm thinking about a BMCRace manifold. So be nice. This question was just because I was curious.

Still researching (gotta get into the tuning... ****, that's hard), but I'm working on it.

Current thoughts:
BMCRace log manifold
T3 Super .60 (Hopefully. It all comes down to whatever I can find, but a T3 nonetheless)
Johnny Race Car 6" FMIC
Whatever charge piping I feel like getting
Greddy BOV (Probably Type-RS)
Tial wastegate (whatever size for manifold)
Probably need custom downpipe (2.5")
Whatever cat-back I find that doesn't suck for the money (2.5")
And a Magnaflow catalytic converter

Going to run Uberdata once I figure out what the hell I'm doing (which may indeed be a while... But I've got until spring). So yeah.

Questions:
Is there some kind of heat treatment for manifolds?
What's up with the BMCRace log mani? It doesn't look like it comes off at a nice angle, that'll mess up with the IC piping.
And is there some better way to learn about Uberdata other than reading PGMFI for the next... 4 months or so?
And finally, are there any parts that I could use instead of the ones I just listed that'll save me some money but keep quality? I'm on a budget. Damn you money.

Thanks in advance everyone.

-Alex

Forgot to add, driving a 98 Civic LX (D16Y7) now, but looking around for a del Sol Si (D16Z6 Powa). Maybe next summer or something I'll have some money to build the motor: pistons, rods, valves, valve springs, cam.

You think that would make a significant difference in something like a SSAC mani? That might be a nice way to save some money. Not to mention, I know someone that knows of four of their kits in use (none with problems). Garrett internals, Turbonetics housing. :-)

keep in mind it keeps heat from escaping the manifold.
the metal in the manifold still gets hot...

Fair enough. So is that beneficial on "better" manifolds? And anyone using the BMCRace mani? Curious as to how well it performs.

it helps the turbo spool faster, and create more power.

Maybe I'll do that later, when I have more money. Thanks.
