Default Headlight reccomendations for a '93 Civic

The headlights (assembly, not the bulbs) in my 93 coupe were replaced a couple times before I got the car, and i'd like to replace them with something better.

Are there any decent aftermarket headlights for my car? I am not interested in ricing it up, I just want something better than what I have now, as well as something that isn't too expensive. Can it be done? Or should I just go OEM?

Stick with OEM and a better bulb.

I used to think my projectors looked nice until everyone that rode in my car kept on asking me at night if I had my headlights on.

i just installed a set yesterday.

Compared to my OEM, (which were slightly broken, so they weren't shining completely right) they shine probably 50-60% better, easily. Even with the stock bulbs i am using.

Don't get any colored bulbs, sylvania silverstars in my truck and it's a nice improvement over stock. Im my car i'm runing koito white beams and they are like the silverstars but brighter, The silverstars are i believe 55/65 watt while the koito's are 80/100 watt..if they made the koito's in 9007 i'd have them in my truck too. I've had those for almost 4 years now and have not had to replace them once, unlike the piaa's that i had to replace every 3-4 months....i don't like piaa's

give me a brake!!!! JDM Yo

If you are willing to put some work into projectors, they can turn out pretty good. My friends can't believe that I have 55W stock bulbs in my projectors.

If you ues the wire kit, change the grounds, and stick with stock bulbs or higher watt stock bulb. They can be ok, not great, but better than stock.

Denji are ok, but TYC's are better. From what I've seen DO NOT buy any other projector. IMO.

Stock ones and the ones above are good also. Rocking the Stock ones are your best bet.

just get stock headlights or jdm ones.
yes there is a reason for the jdm,
usdm lights have glass nubs sticking out of them(3 per light), the jdm ones are comletely flush, for a slightly sleeker look.

and get some silvania silverstars bulbs,
or buy a bunch of superwhite xenon bulbs and replace htem when they blow out. if you get some good ones each bulb should last at least a year.

might be cheap, but it works,
and is alot brigther than stock

I have these on my hatch. I bought them in hope for improved lighting but I think they have failed me. In the rain I can't see $hit still and this is with OEM bulbs none of those super white $hit! Since they are not performing to my expectations I am going to see if one of the local ricers will give me there OEM's + $100 for them. I still have my OEM's which I need to take apart, clean the lens really well, and paint the inside black. $100 in my pocket sounds good

Maybe it's the set I have

I've had projectors and they sucked a$$!!!!!!

i had denji projectors a while back. they're not terribly bad but they're really dim. i'm also trying to con some ricers into buying them

right now i'm rocking oem with jdm corners which i traded for. the corners looks nice on pics but way! nicer in real life. so clear, so bright, so damn nice

u can also go stock with vision corners.....they're pretty cheap and pretty nice looking too.

in terms of bulbs, silverstars are probably the best for it's $$$

TYCs. If I had to go with something other than OEM in an EG, it would be the TYCs with the GE 9003sb bulbs from Wal Mart. The bulbs are awesome. Under 15 dollars for the pack and they give off bright white light and have lasted me over a year now.

TYC one-piece headlamps kick ***. The cutoff is sick, they're way brighter, the spread is awesome and they look infinitly better. I've got some black housings on my red hatchy (stupid F250 running over my car ) and I love em.

If you want better and brighter bulbs bet some 80/100 or higher. I have silverstars and I'm not too impressed. It still is the same wattage, but just a whiter light. Go xenon or get a higher wattage bulb

well, that sucks. They work excellent for me, project as well as my mom's suburban (for comparison purposes) and better than the wife's 2001 cavalier..
