Header = no passing emissions?????

Header = no passing emissions?????
I was about to buy my header (don't know the brand) and then someone who worked in the shop told me that the civic wouldn't be able to pass the emissions ...WTF? I thought.....so help me out here... I'll appreciate it....thank you

even if it has a carb sticker it wont pass smog. trust me ive tried it and wasted 50 bucks. just keep your stock one for when you smog it then switch it out.

I don't know why, My friends passed with a dc one and a aem intake. All carb legal and passed with flying colors.

thats crazy was it bard? i had a dc too on an all stock d16z6 didnt pass something were too high. after i paid dude 50 bucks he says put the stock one back on so i did re smoged it and it passed.

i have some dc headers and some lame exhaust on my stock d16z6 too. i failed but then the smog tech said my timing was cranked up to high so he adjusted it right then and there and i barely passed.

I'm running a no name 4-1 header on my d16y7 with a 2.5 exhaust and I passed smog. I have to admit I did know the guy but all he did was put on a 2inch catalytic converter and told me to drive the car around for 20 mins, then he put it on the machine WITHOUT shutting car car off and did the smog. I passed with flying colors.
