i bought a factory cd player from a 99 civic si and was going to install it in my 95 coupe but i notice the plugs are different. What is needed to make this work?

hmm if you want to keep your stock harness you'd have to get an after market harness then get the your new stereo's stock harness and wire them into the after market harness.

EDIT:: it's kind of like wiring up a new stereo except that the new stereo's harness is going to be harder to match since aftermarket stereo wiring is the same colors as the harness but, all you need is a diagram of the 99 stereo... actually.. it might be on top of the radio i think.

ITR and S2000 OEM radios will also work with that same harness (for EM1's) and both have amber backlights.

You'll need a reverse harness for the 98-05 Honda radio, and then wire it into a conversion harness for a 88-97 Honda

I don't understand why you would pay money for a stock EM1 radio, go buy a real headunit like alpine, panasonic etc.

You're an asshat. OEM radios are a perfect solution for someone who doesn't care about the 'best' sound quality, and want something that looks/feels/functions like a factory part.

I didn't say they were better. I said they're fully functional and look better.

Some people like OEM parts, and are willing to sacrifice sound quality for something that fits perfectly and looks way better than some horrible blue and green LED lightshow with a plastic trim ring.

cool.. i didn't know they made those! lol i suggested getting the oem harness to wire into a stereo harness... but this looks like a better idea!

I made a jumper harness using a 94-98 Integra radio harness and 99-00 Civic reverse harness, and soldered them together. Plug and play.
