Default Head gasket change .. still smoke

D16a6

Changed the head gasket about two weeks ago
My car is burning oil, which i will do a leak down soon to figure out.

But what i dont get is why im still getting so much white smoke, My oil and coolant both look normal with no mixture of the two.
my radiator is not showing any sign of fluid lose ..
What else could be causeing the white smoke ?

wot ?
From what i can see ( out my rear view mirror ), the smoke starts after stops, and shifting into 2nd 3rd and less at 4th.

If the car idles for longer, more smoke when taking off.

The valves looked pretty crusty when the head was off ( I whitish color) But i was told there fine.

Im guessing your right, it probably is the valves. Just want to make sure before i swap heads. might as well upgrade to a z6.

i just replaced the pcv valve i though i had a bad head gasket. take your pcv valve out and shake it and see if the ball moves freely

looks like a few things have been brought up already that are most likely the issue.

valve guides
valve seals
pcv assembly (could be black box, o-ring, but most likely ball bearing inside pvc hose)

worst case scenario is your rings are toast. but lets hope its a pvc issue since that would be the easiest fix.
