Which Head is Better?
Ok, I searched for this but the closest one had 1 response. I was wondering which Head is the best out of all of Honda's Motors? Thanks.

Re: Which Head is Better? (Emerica)
Ok, I gotcha. I'm still going to keep the same question as before, but now I'm going to add another that pertains to me... I can't afford a Type R head, sooo out of the none "R" heads which one is the best. Sorry if this is confusing, I don't know how to word it correctly.

The B16A head FLOWS better than any other B-series head. Including ITR, however the CTR is slightly better yet.
So to answer your question: B16A.

mmmm....if u really wanna know my opinion, i prefer the head i had last night than my b16......lol, sorry i couldnt resist.
but i too have a sirII and i will most likely be keeping and rebuilding the head with a built gsr block.

So to sum it up B16 is better because... it flows better? Is there anything else? Just trying to learn as much as possible. Thanks

Don't listen to these guys, they don't know much.
What you want is a 1973 Honda CVCC head. Flow's more air than a gay mans *******.

Looks like GS-R head is better flowing for higher lift cams. Esp when duration is increased as well. But look at the flow rate of a stock K20A2 head. 172cfm! Even a fully race ported B16A head can't even come close to a stock K20A2 head

Re: Which Head is Better? (Halo)
this b16 was ported and even had itr manifold and still got owned by the gsr which was bone stock. Imagine the numbers if the gsr head had a slight port with a skunk manifold.......

also, remember to watch out for compression differences. i had a turbo gs-r, fried the head (damn detonation) and got a b16a head. much better flowing head (same casting as a type-r) but it also lowered my compression (b16a has high-dome pistons). good for me, but if youre running all-motor, then you need to think about that.
