Default HAVING PROBS WITH CAR OVER HEATING help help

Hey im looking for some answers.. ive searched all over this site. found many post about over heating cars.. but i still havnt found what im looking for i guess? .. I have a 92 eg with a gsr.. its over heating after 15 mins or so.. so i changed the rad.. still over heats.. took out the the thermostat.. still over heats.. its not losing any water.. the plugs and oil show no sign water/coolent.. could it be the water pump? i dont think its the head gasket? could it be the temp sending unit on the head that could be sending the wrong signal to the gauge cluster?? also the fan is wired on constant with car is running.. So if anyone has any ideas im open for some... im stuck...

have u looked under the hood when its overheating to tell if it really is? the coolant would probably be boiling and bubbling. im leaning towards the temp sending unit.

ya both hoses are hard.. and warm not so hot that they burn or anything.. the over flow is filling up.. ive try 3 different rad caps thinking they were bad. but it does the same thing every time..the system has pressure..i was thinking it was the sending unit also but wasnt sure.. going to change it out today.. does those go bad? or am i just wasting my time and it really is over heating??

switch it out and see. but if not, try a new pump. sounds like everything else is ok.

ok i just went and looked at the car.. the over flow was low and the rad was a lil low as well.. when the car is hott the over flow is full to the top.. as for the radiator its still full when the car is warm... i dont see any water leaking anywhere.. no signs when its hott or cold.. havnt changed the gauge yet tho its a lil too hott out side right now..

1.) You said your fan is wired on (why did you do that?)... are you sure that it's turning at full speed?

2.) Have you Pressure tested the system

3.) did you reinstall a good thermostat (it's not good to remove it changes the pressure of the system which is key to maintaining temperature if you remove the thermostat you need to replace it with a 'restrictor plate')

4.) is there a kink in the top radiator hose (i've seen swaps where the top hose has a sharp turn and sometimes the hose kinks up)

no kink in the radiator hose.. im goin to put the therm back in.. What i did notice was with the car cold and the radiator cap on if i squeezed upper hose it would push coolent out of the over flow hose.. does that mean the cap is no good??
also the fan is wired like that to try to keep it cooler... as soon as i get this over heating prob fix im going to hook it back up normal..also im new on honda tech so im limited to 5 post a day that sucks.. so hopefully people will keep giving me ideas cuz im about out of post for one day..lol

Well the cap works under pressure... once a certain pressure is reached, then water pushes the cap up and it opens to let the water go into the overflow,

so in theory if you squeeze hard enough it will flow into the overflow, but it shouldn't with just a little squeeze.

I think it's a 16 pound cap. maybe you have a bad cap, or a bet seat on the radiator.
