Having problems with 5sp Transmission 94ex need help.
Hi i own a 94 EX civic coupe with 1.6 SOHC vtec w/5sp i am having problems with transmission the car shifts great and gets good acceloration when the engine is cold and doesnt seem to slip as if the clutch is warn out. When it is hot out and when the engine gets pretty warm the car seems like the clutch is slipping usally around 2-up rpm in pretty much any gear. Its really annoying i have brand new flywheel, clutch, inputshaft bearing, slave cylinder, pressureplate. I searched the forum and the net for answers cant seem to find anything about it. Also this is the 2nd transmission that has done it. could the clutch master cylinder be going bad? Also when the car seems to slip when warm blasting the heat helps. i dont know if the transmission be overheating? I really need help on this. I hope someone here has the answer thanks.

your clutch might be greasy. what happend when you try to start out 2,3 gear? does it stall out? do this when it got to operating temp as you stated.

Definitely a slipping clutch...
Is your rear main seal bad? Can you see oil dripping from the bottom of the tranny? Oil from the rear main can get onto the clutch and cause it to slip...

Should have all new parts. I bought new flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, new throw out bearing, and seals. Also this is the 2nd transmission that has been in my civic that has started to do this. Car doesnt leak any oil what so ever. I really hope i can get this sorted out. What i dont get is by turning on the cars heater and putting it on full blast how does the oil go away by doing that?? Also i think i read somewhere on this forum if the cars engine oil is to hi or low it will mess with the pressure inside the crankcase and can cause problems with the tranny is that true?? Thanks.
