Default Having a hard time closing my hood.

I hit a deer about three monts ago. My car was seating for about 2 months. It messed up my front bumper and hood.
I just installed a used dark green hood.
But, why do I have to push hard down on it to close. Do you think the deer messed somthing up. Are all Del Sol hoods the same? Is the latching mechanism slanted or straight ?

you can adjust the angle of the latch itself. It might have gotten knocked out of line.

I'll try. Thanks for your replies. I just don't want to make a dent in the hood by pushing so hard down on it.

you shouldnt ever have to push.... just drop it from about 6". When it latches after you drop it like that, you know you got the alignment of the hood/latch and you have greased all the right places.

Maybe I'm the one that's not overlooking the obvious here but when you hit a deer, 9 times outta 10 your rad support gets moved a bit - even if it's not bent to the point where it's gotta be replaced, the latch is always off from the hook thing on the hood.

Lemme put it this way, I've never seen a deer cause hood damage + bumper damage, and not slide the top of the rad support/hood latch. And in Yulan, NY, I've seen a ****-ton of deer hits.
