Default Has anyone tried this?

Hey guys, I just bought a razo shifter for my '94 EJ1 with an auto tranny and I was wondering if anyone has tried to take the plastic with the lettering on it (the PRND) out and put a boot in, to make it look more like a stick shift? I saw someone with a Camry did it and it looked decent so I thought I might try it with my car. How hard would it be to do this? Thanks!

Here's the pic I was talking about http://memimage.cardomain.net/...l.jpg
It's an automatic but they made it look like a stick

I did it, It was one of the easiest removals I ever did.

I took out the "PRND2" plate and removed the bulb that illuminates it (at night) and just swapped the piece for the same manual piece. If you can't remember what mode you're in, look at your dash, it says it there too next to your tach and speedo. I didn't even swap out the stock shifting piece (it's black so it's not noticeable).

And when you park and take your keys out of the ignition, you can depress the button which unlocks the gear-lock and put the car in neutral. That way, you can take off the e-brake, roll back a little, start the car, and put the car right into drive without that flash of the back-up-lights to indicate your inferior transmission.

I drive a gutted 4-door supercharged 97. I beat mustangs. It's sad.
