Has anyone ordered a swap from JSH Motors?

Re: Has anyone ordered a swap from JSH Motors?
That sounds like a stock answer that could be given for ANY question. As recent information (from trusted sources) is more valuable than old information, as company trustworthyness changes over time, wouldn't a simple "I don't know" have been a tad more beneficial than a snarky response? Or better yet, let someone answer that DOES know. Chase enough interested people away from this forum, and you might not HAVE a forum.

For my last swap I was going to go with HMO but had to use another company instead because I could not justify the meager extra cost to the wife. We got a strong JDM swap for a company out of Jersey called http://www.jdmenginedepot.com/.
Tiger Japanese, on the other hand, seems to be hit and miss.

Please do not go with Hmotorsonline. I was sold a motor that only lasted 5 months (it was steadily burning oil and now the compression is too low for it to start). Of course, being past the warranty they won't own up to anything and I'm stuck with a dead engine that I'll have to rebuild on my own dime. Unless you can personally see the motor, take off the oil pan and valve cover for inspection, and do your own leak down test, don't buy it. Therefore, since you're in Atlanta I doubt it's worth the expense of flying to CA to inspect anything. HMO is no different from the rest.

I was checking out JSH and they've hardly got any motors. They look to be more of a JDM parts importer rather than motors, if I was you I'd go somewhere that has more of a selection like HMO, because they will probably have more experience with them.

Re: Has anyone ordered a swap from JSH Motors?
...cuz you wasted those first 5 months?
not like it just started burning and crapping out on compression on day 31.
did you change all the tune up parts when you got it? because if not you didn't even have the warranty.
im with marc on this one. if you didn't check out a USED engine(and god knows what for) then its your own fault.
would you buy a car without test driving it then get mad when it breaks in 2 weeks?
as to the OP. i like HMO but theres plenty of other people that like other companies. i just know HMO kinda has the best reputation. i love my b16 from there.

Re: Has anyone ordered a swap from JSH Motors?
i bought a B18c1 from HMO about two years ago and hasn't had a single problem ever. the motor was shipped in a quick time manor as well. and they guarantee all sensors will work as well. they did send me the wrong motor brackets, but they quickly fixed the situation. In my opinion HMO is the way to go...
