Hello guys,

This is my 1st post, I've searched for this topic in here but could not find the exact function of it. I know that it is for the power antenna. The one that confuses me is the real function of it.

What does it do when the antenna is fully extended? Does it lower the antenna half way down when you press it?
And when you press it before turning on your head unit, does the antenna raises halfway up or stays down upon turning on the head unit?

I've read somewhere here that is lowers the antenna halfway down when it is fully extended but I dont know if it will raise up the antenna halfway up.

hope someone could enlighten me, a link for a detailed technical spec of the antenna switch would be appreciated.

I honestly have no idea what you mean. Is there a civic that even had an antenna switch? The only cars that I've seen with a power antenna have all been run of the head unit signal.

nope, its a half antenna switch which I am talking about. The bumper pole switch a different one which a know of.

i know CB7's had them, not in the US tho, not sure about other models

they do extend the antenna to half height, i'd assume for highway driving so it's less strain on the antenna so it doesn't bend. i'm not sure where to get one, or how to wire it
