Default antenna switch

if i put my remote wire for the amp on the power antenna line can i still put a normal on/off switch there after the rem or do i have to put a switch with a ground on it to keep it so that the sub will still turn on?

I have one inline with the antenna power lead. I don't like my antenna up unless I'm listening to radio and that's only when my wife and daughter are in the car. I mainly listen to CDs because they don't play the kind of music I listen to on mainstream radio and I'm not paying $10/month for satellite radio.

i bought a switch from radio shack, a rocker switch and it sits flush in the back of the pocket underneath the radio now, i needed to drill a 3/4 inch hole for it to fit and i spliced it in after the rem wire from the hu. it works and it is hidden.
