H22a/eg swap wiring questions
if i swap an H22a into an eg civic hatch what do i have to do concerning wiring?
the engine comes with an obd-1 & an obd-2 harness and a p28 ecu, so what else would i have to buy? and how much wiring is involved?
i usually mess around with carbed v8 cars, so a lot of wiring/electrical work can be intimidating, but i am mechanically inclined so im sure i can figure it out, ill just need some advice along the way haha. and yes, i know i shouldve searched but i just found the engine today and im going to pick it up early tomorrow morning, so id like to get some sleep tonight instead of staying up all night researching it

Surely you are going to follow a guide? Not doing so will be an exercise in failure. There is a FAQ in the Hybrid forums with all the swap info you will ever need.

Re: H22a/eg swap wiring questions
It's very simple all the wiring is easy. There are some sensors on the h22 that you won't be using like egr valve and knock sensor. You really need a chipped Ecu so you can get it all right. All the wiring is simple though will have to lengthen the alternator plug and power wire and wire in a resitor box for the injectors if your motor is 92-95, if it's 97 or newer the injectors Are saturated you won't need a resitor box. What year motor do you have? And is it jdm or usdm. If it's usdm you have an external coil on the distributor you will have to wire that different to. YOu need to give me more info
