Re: h22 into a del sol (h22delsol)
you need both harnesses...you use your harness to plug to the car and some plugs from the h22 harness. you also need to extend the alternator wires...search man...i know there are topics bout this

Re: h22 into a del sol (h22delsol)
In My opionion Crower is one of the better makers of cams. With a Stage two set upgrading valve springs and retainers is almost mandatory.
$125 brand new seems like a steal! but just make sure that he has not used them ever before.
When you install them be sure to adjust the valve lash and inspect for wear on the valves. Read up on how to do the procedure so that when the time comes you wont get caught with your pants down so to speak.
Haynes will show you how to adjust the lash as well as several other write-ups on here.

Yes i have heard this as well but the customer service and backup behind the products seem very good. I only know of my experiance with non honda motors with crower cams. Skunk2 is the best money can buy short of custom cam grinds for one specific application. Zex makes good cams for turbo/supercharged applications

Re: h22 into a del sol (h22delsol)
That's a great swap, but you chose the wrong block to go with. That ATTS crap is a pain. Your not going to want to use it and what sucks about that is that no intermediate shaft will bolt up that block. So your going to have fab a bracket to make that work. I had the same problem and fabbed up a pretty pimp bracket. But I still wasn't comfortable with it. I hate fabbing stuff like that for the drive line. But I hope this helps and if you need anything else let me know.

remember franklin not all SH have atts. btw i need to call you again to ask some Qs.
as far as your h22, you should focus on getting a parts list before you mess with cams. your gonna need a **** load of parts to fit that h22 into your delsol. ill make up a list and post in awhile

Re: h22 into a del sol (h22delsol)
all you need is a mount kit. to get the motor in.
then cut out the shifter box for shifter cables.
u could do an f22 crank i hear that makles good power in combination with skunk2 intake manifold.
to make it obd1 is very simple.
get the 97-01` injectors. so you wont need a resitor pack
a p13 ecu
98 distributor, i htink htats the one i ahve plugs right up. im not 100% but its the one that internal coil.
then for the intake manifold you could use all your old sensors, if the plugs dont fit the h22 sensors.
then you just have to wire up knock, and egr.
for the instructinos on that look at the ecu thread at the top !'
have fun

Re: h22 into a del sol (h22delsol)
let me put it to you this way bro...
i have a '93 del sol with an h22a, and i can tell you, there is a LOT of work to be done and a lot of things to consider. first of all, you have an obd1 car and you're looking to drop in a motor with obd2. your best bet is to send your harness out to hasport and have them modify your harness for you. if you want to do this swap right, don't cut any corners, especially with the motor mounts and tha axles. getting the motor is the easy part. keep in mind that you need to drill holes in your subframe for the tranny mount, and you will also have to c-notch the frame in the same area because the tranny hits right there (assuming you are not going h2b). you will spend more then $1000 just to get axles (like gator) and good mounts (like hasport). the cost of the motor is very attractive, but what you don't realize is that you will spend at least $8000 on the swap, if not more. trust me on that one! and yes, i am killing the built na b-series motors, but at the expense of my handling. i took this car to lime rock and noticed immediately that my handling has suffered due to the weight of the new setup, even with my eibach springs, koni adjustables, energy suspension bushings (everywhere on the car), front and rear strut bars, and f&r tie bars. even with all that, i have come to realize that i can't use it in the twisties anymore. so if you're just looking to drag race, then yes the h22 will own. but just keep in mind that you are going to need a lot more than what meets the eye for this swap (especially money). take it from someone who's done it
oh yeah, one more thing... there are plenty of racing parts available for these motors but they are big $$$ compared to b-series. if there's anything you need to know (part numbers, etc) drop me an im
