Default H22 into 95 dx coupe

I just picked up this civic last night in a trade. Today was the first chance I got to actually pay attention to it when driving it.

Body is a 95 DX EG Coupe.
Swap is from a 2000 Prelude (H22a4)
p28 ecu chipped

I have rode in many different h22 swapped cars and this one does not seem to be anything near what those were. But here are my current issues...

1. Vtec = No engage
2. Temp gauge = It works, but if the sensor Im looking at is the correct one, it is not plugged in at all.
4. Throttle cable/bracket

So my questions are:

What do I look for to see if the Vtec is correctly hooked up. I understand that three wires need to be ran. Does anyone have a diagram for this?

Which sensor is the temp sensor?

What throttle cable and bracket are needed for this swap? The one on this is rigged up just a bit so I would like to fix that.

Sorry if these are questions that are asked a lot. I am new to the H22 deal. I usually stick to the easier swaps. lol

I tried doing a search but I am on my phone which does not do that very easily.

Thanks for the help.

For Civics, the temp sending unit is generally a 1-wire sensor under the distributor. It may be the same for your H22.

It's definitely not the best time of year to work on the car, depending on where you live. In Houston, it's fine (60F today). Here, it's the summers (95F/95% humidity) when car work is a challenge.

Alright I took a bunch of pictures and I will put them on here in a few.

The sensor that your speak of, is indeed plugged in. But the one that I found unplugged, is where the upper radiator hose connects to the engine... I will show in pic. Give me about 20 minutes so I can get on the computer.

Okay so when I picked up the car the guy I got it from said that there was another "chip" in the ash tray.

So I took the p28 apart and plugged in the other one. It seems to run much better now. But still not what I expected.

The vtec is wired up, just need a diagram to make sure it is wired correctly.

#1 This is one sensor that has no plug going to it... What is this?

#2 Here is the other sensor that has no plug. Note- The rigged up throttle cable.

here are some pics of some vaccum hoses that are either plugged or go to nothing. Would like them to all be used correctly.
#3 Back of intake manifold by the throttle body.

#4 Behind fuel rail.

#5 Hard to see but this is on the back of the intake mani on the drivers side.

Took some pics of the Vtec wiring as well. Note- Colors do not match but If I know where they go to on the ecu I can make sure they are correct.
