H22 H23 head differences...
Looking to get a few things for my H23 and want to know what all will swap onto the H22 head once I finally save up the money to do the swap. I have the H23 swap in my del sol and feel like I need the Vtec, so am H22 head swap is DEFINITELY in the cards before the end of the year. I am having some issues with the idle, and a weird miss at low RPM and at WOT and hoping that while I add some parts to the motor I will either inadvertently either fix the issue, or find out what the issue is. I am thinking cam gears so I can go zero degrees for the moment, and maybe cams. Would be nice to swap out the timing belt at the same time. A quick little heads up and a shopping list for what all I will need for the head swap would be nice also if anyone has one and on the last note, are there any good build threads or just plain how to's on the head swap would be KICK ***! More on the miss in a later thread.

Also, I have an aeromotive AFPR I want to install this weekend, can I still run my stock fuel rail, or do I have to swap rails, and will the rails interchange on the 22 and the 23?

yea the h22 head will fit onto the h23 block just fine. when doing so all that touches the timing belt has to be h22 except the bare block, oil pump can be h23 but thats all.
the oil plug has to be taken out. its not a hard thing to search as it has been done many times, i did mine not that long ago.

Re: H22 H23 head differences...
Is it a total waste like the person that posted second says?!? What did you think of it after you were done? Would I be better off selling off my del sol and starting over with a new swap and going H22 from the start? And most importantly, are the fuel rails the same? Only reason I ask about the rail is I am having some issues with the way it is running and I think that the FPR might be cloged and I have an Aeromotive AFPR just sitting around I could use...
