h22 EG VTEC QUESTION HELP!! PLEASE READ!!!
Hello to all I need some help so anything would be useful. heres the deal, i put in a 95 h22 vtec motor in my eg coupe this weekend, swap went well, heres the deal i wanna keep this thread short and simple.
THe motor runs PERFECT until 4500 rpm's when VTEC is supost to kick in the car studders BADLY I am currently running a p72 ecu as of now, i know I need to get a chipped p28. The car will studder from 4500-5200/5400 rpm's then the car will pull great until redline. I dont understand what could be the problem, i checked the Check Engine codes, what came up was, No O2 sensor, Vtec oil Pressure. The VTEC Solinod works becuase I tested it, but like I said VTEC kicks in but it studders. I also DO NOT have a knock sensor, will the knock sensor make this happen?
On the other hand, my friend has a chipped p28 by spoon, when I put that in the car pulls fine, but again studderes this time only 5200rpms until 5500 rpms.....I have a fuel pressure regulator in the car its reading 40psi. Should I turn that up to 42-44psi???
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT THANX IN ADVANCE!!!
