gutting a cat pipe?
I am thinking about gutting my cat pipe, i believe i've got to put a bar in my cat and beat it with a hammer till all the crap comes out! what are the pro's and con's of this? more power? louder exhaust? as soon as i get some advice im gonna go beat the crap outta it thanks for the help..

i wouldnt gut my cat just get a catco....it makes yur car annoyingly loud. IM sure it gives you a couple of hp's. Waste of time imo.

I think they sound like crap. They are real loud and Annoying, and they make the exhaust sound like crap at least the ones I have heard. It would be better to get like a Carsound or Catco high flow cat, than gutting your cat, because you can cause problems with the way the car will run, and you can get codes as a result of gutting your cat.

i think it sounds like a gutted cat....loud and annoying depending on exhaust. imo. i would sugget doing what i posted above.
