Default guage question

I have a civic dx manual and it didn't come with a tach so i bought a used cluster out of the same year civic i had, bought some white guages, not indiglo, i was putting on one of the white faces when i accidently popped off my gas guage needle is this really bad? can i just push it back on? it almost looks like it could pop back in, but i'm not sure, is my cluster ruined?

Default Re: guage question (95civicdx)

Yeah, that's kind of bad. The purpose of the gauges was to slip on without taking off the needles. You can pop the needle back on and hope the cluster can calibrate correctly. But, I don't know if this helps at all, the best way to put the gauges on the gas/temp section is to have the gas needle up and temp needle down.
