I have a 97 Civic hatch with a 98 GSR (previous owner put it in) and from what i can see it looks like he used the y7 harness and just extended a crap load of wires (TPS, IACV, and what not) So basically my car has been running like crap and im almost positive its from the wiring now my question is will a y8 harness work good with the motor? I basically just dont wanna extend a bunch of wire and all i have to do with y8 harness is wire in the butterfly thing correct?

y8 harness will work. you can remove the secondaiers completely if you want, have to take about the intake mani though.

still have to extend a few wires with the y8.

do you know exactly what wires you have to extend on the y8 harness?

to make everything smooth...i would recommend you getting B16 (Si) wire harness with OBD2b to OBD2a jumper harner and then wire the IAB...i know it will be more expensive...but if you really think your wired is f'ed...
