gsr swapped si annoyin revs
my 93 si (jdm gsr swap) when first started, especially in the mornings, likes to rev up to 2k-2.5k, holds it there for a few seconds, then drops down to 1k, then goes a lil less than 2k, then down, then idles fine, after its warmed up, get a new tps? any1 else w/ this prob?

I don't know if that would be your TPS. Does this only occur when the engine is cold?

Re: gsr swapped si annoyin revs (dzminiz)
yeah i have the same prob with both my civics. i have a 93 hatch originally non-vtec and i put the B16 A2 swap with a chipped ECU and it has the same idle prob as yours. my 95 automatic civic EX idles closer to yours cuz it sometimes stops when it warms up. MY hatch's idle prob is due to poor wiring (vtec oil pressure sensor, and random groundings) so check that. The 95 civic idled funny because of my thermostat.
Check for other conditions that can help point you in the right direction (is your heat working fine? what is your temp gauge doing while your idle is messing around?)

Heat works great, temp gauge seems normal, have to check some of the wiring tomorrow, i guess.

yes the car idles higher when its cold but it shouldnt hunt like that. should start around 1500-2000 then come down as the engine warms up. not up and down and up and down.
sounds like your fast idle thermo switch/valve is sticking.

Re: (Kamin)
it usually starts around 2500 then gradually goes down, but it just started to do it, and it's been pretty warm lately, definately colder a few weeks back

Re: (dzminiz)
THAT is normal. the way you described it made it sound like it moves up and down.
it idles higher to warm the car up when its cold. its always done it you have just never noticed.
