GSR Swap Code Problems: Code 22
Ok, here's the story. I did my swap (JDM GSR) about a month ago and originally I threw a Code 22. So I put my buddies chipped ECU in there and it fixed the problem. I even put in my Stock p72 in it to make sure... and no codes. I have had a chipped ECU for about a month now and have had no problems, until tonight.
Here's my question... I know that a JDM GSR doesn't look for the Vtec Pressure Solenoid (what causes the Code 22). So how come if I have a chipped ECU it still throws this code... shouldn't it have eliminated that sensor completely?
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this pesky problem of mine?

no only the JDM OBDII ecus do not read the sensor and non-obd Mugen program.
to prevent the code. simply take the oil pressure wire and splice it to the vtec solenoid wire., less then 10 seconds and no more problems or codes.

Do I still keep the oil pressure wire grounded and simply connect the blue wire to the funky green/yellow Vtec wire? Or do I connect both the ground and blue wire to the funky green/yellow Vtec wire?
Thank You for your help.

indeed. splice the oil presure signal wire to the vtec solenoid wire. it works as it provides constant feedback to the oil pressure sensor.
simple 10sec job. take a look, below.

Yes, the oil pressure sensor will still need to be grounded. However, like eg6ajk said, simply take the Blu/Blk wire and splice that to the VTEC solenoid which is Grn/Wht wire.
You can also put a US spec VTEC solenoid assembly on the motor and hook the VTEC oil pressure sensor as factory too if you have one lying around. Other than that, no point.

Cool, thanks fellas. I fixed the problem by moving my ground from underneath the transmission ground to on top. So hopefully that fixed that, if not I will indeed do some splicing. Thanks
