i have a 96 ek coup d16y8 single cam vtec i did a gsr swap in it out of a 95 gsr. i changed the dizzy to obd 2 i used the civic wire harness extended the o2 harness swaped the injector plugs and extended the oil preasue switch and vtec seliniod harness. whaen i first did the swap my car would hit vtec and pull to only 7500 i was using the stock p28. I then got the obd2 - obd1 harness and plugged the p72 in it engages somtimes and sometimes it wont so i had a chipped p28 put that in and it did the same thing put the stock back in and now it does it too. I checked the oil preassure harness and the vtec seliniod harness according to specs i have the right voltage . i checked the seliniod for continunity it has 16 it ranges 14-30 so i jumped the vtec seliniod and vtec hits with out a problem what should i replace.

guess what i fixed the problem speed sensor was bad symptoms are speed sensor dropping out and no vtec at times
